Begin by orientating the client as to what they see. Show how this is a molar view on the subject's right side. Give them the landmarks of tongue and cheek. |

Show how the teeth don't strike on the high and low points (cusp tips and fossas) but rather they strike on the inclines. |

Point out how the direction of force is not vertical and has a sideways component.

As the teeth contact point out how the upper tooth moves. Explain how this can cause wear and how the bone on the cheek side is thinning. |
